Year 1 started last week with their new IPC unit ‘What is it made of?’. For their Entry Point they took a walk to the forest and walked 600 metres along the biking path, where they picked up a lot of litter. The children were surprised how much plastic they found, in total 82 pieces! Back at school they sorted all the litter and put it in different groups of materials. Of the plastic they created an artwork to show the amount and create awareness for our nature.
Their good work, cleaning up in the forest was also published in one of the local newspapers (link).
