Primary Students Design Their Own Multiplication Board Games!

Primary students are taking ownership of their learning in Maths through an exciting inquiry-based project—designing their own multiplication board games. After playing a teacher-created game for inspiration, they are now developing their own, complete with custom rules, playing cards, and challenges to deepen their understanding of multiplication, including decimals. This hands-on approach allows them to explore and engage with Maths in a meaningful and enjoyable way.

This project not only strengthens their multiplication skills but also fosters creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration. As they brainstorm ideas, test their games, and refine their designs, they develop adaptability, resilience, and deeper thinking. This student-driven approach allows them to explore, experiment, and engage with Maths in a way that feels meaningful and fun! The excitement in the classroom is contagious, and we can’t wait to see the final versions of their board games!
